When closed, the tap is completely tight to prevent the beer and the carbon dioxide (_CO2) dissolved in it from escaping. The tap is attached to the dispenser, which can have several taps, so that different beers can be served. 

What is the difference between piston dispensing tap and compensator tap?

Besides piston dispensing taps, we also have compensator taps in our offer. A compensator tap consists of a nozzle system inside, which allows dispensing drinks without foam. They often have a "foam button" to preform the foam. For this purpose, higher pressure is used here. Compensator taps are used primarily for soft drinks such as cola or lemonade. The traditional piston dispensing tap can be opened and closed with a quick quarter turn. Dispensing taps can be made of different materials: Stainless steel, brass or plastic. Some models are also gold-plated to add a visual accent. Because only with the right tap is the dispensing system complete. You will also find special models for wine dispensing, for hot drinks as well as beer taps.

Another special feature is the Guinnes tap for stout beers such as Guinness, as these beers require nitrogen to form their particularly creamy foam.

How is the tap properly cleaned?

Freshly tapped beer requires perfect hygiene. The tap in particular requires special care. It should always be completely disassembled for cleaning.
